On October 24th and 25th the Center for Nano- and Molecular Science and Technology hosted the 3rd annual Partner University Fund (PUF) workshop. Faculty from The University of Texas at Austin (UT-Austin) and the Université Joseph Fournier (UJF) of Grenoble led a series of lectures and students presented their research during Monday night’s poster session.

This international exchange was established in May 2007 under the auspices of the FACE Foundation, NYC and PUF.  The objective is to foster strong and sustainable relationships in research on nanosciences and nanotechnology based on a shared program of education and common interests . In continuing this relationship, the 2011 workshop brought together specialists from both universities who presented their advances and elaborated further strategies for joint research projects. The workshop also provided an opportunity for graduate students to obtain a global perspective on pervasive themes in nanoscience and nanotechnology.
